Sean Costello Street is now closed to traffic as the pedestrianisation of this main town thoroughfare proceeds

The permanent closure of Sean Costello Street to traffic is now in operation, the thoroughfare to be pedestrianised as the streetscape regeneration of the town centre continues apace.

No traffic is now permitted to use this particular route from Dunnes Stores to the former Ulster Bank premises on Mardyke Street.

Those vehicles who wish to proceed through Church Street must now turn right at the junction before making a left turn onto Mardyke street and driving through the town centre.

The town centre streetscape regeneration commenced in March of this year, the pedestrianisation of Sean Costello Street, the latest stage of this multi-million project to proceed.
