The football boots momentarily put to one side, it was a sporting occasion to remember for Athlone GAA stalwarts, John Egan and Fergal Murray, both of whom completed their first Dublin City Marathon on Sunday last.
Completing the course in a very respectable time, John and Fergal can be extremely proud of their 26.2 mile route completion, the culmination of numerous months of dedicated training.
Well done to both runners, the first of many no doubt!!
