Supportive Athlone and Midland Samaritans campaign highlights life-changing impact of talking

Throughout July, Athlone and Midland Samaritans is reminding the public that its volunteers provide around-the-clock emotional support to anyone who is struggling to cope.

The charity’s annual Talk To Us awareness campaign is highlighting the life-changing power of talking, culminating with Samaritans Awareness Day, on Monday, July 24, reflecting the fact volunteers are available 24/7.

It's been a very challenging few years and we know that many people are still facing all kinds of pressure. However, we want to remind everyone that you are not alone. Whatever you’re going through, it doesn’t matter how great or small the problems feel, our volunteers are here at any time of day or night, whatever you’re facing.

Volunteers from Athlone and Midland Samaritans will be raising awareness of its emotional support services and encouraging anyone struggling to reach out for help on Monday 24th July. Volunteers will be chatting to people at train stations and distributing Samaritan leaflets to raise awareness of its emotional support service and encourage people to get in touch if they need support. They will be raising awareness in Athlone, Ballinasloe, Longford, Roscommon, Tullamore and Mullingar train stations.

The Samaritans are available of freephone 116123 anytime or you can email the Samaritans [email protected].
