Are you interested in volunteering for the 55th Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival which will be hosted from August 4-12?
The festival committee is currently recruiting a large team of volunteers to help them deliver of one of the Midlands region's most-anticipated event and they would love you to be a part of it.
As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a friendly and diverse team who welcome audiences to a huge range of events ensuring they have a great festival experience.
“There are so many benefits to volunteering. It’s a great way to meet new people and to experience the behind-the-scenes of the festival, there’s a real sense of achievement and comradery. So, if you have a few hours to spare, especially over the busy weekend of August 5/6, please consider getting involved.
“There are different volunteering roles and shift times to suit people's interests and availability across the nine-day festival. We are looking for lots of stewards for our three large-scale events; the Vintage Market, the Vintage Sunday Parade and Fireworks Night. There are also quieter roles and short shifts in exhibition invigilation at the different exhibition venues and we are also looking for workshop assistants at the events in The Courthouse Yard," Vintage Week Volunteer Co-ordinator, Aideen O’Brien, is hoping to attract a new cohort of volunteers and explained.
With less than three weeks until the start of Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival 2023, it’s a busy time for the festival organisers. The festival would not go ahead without the help of its team of dedicated volunteers, some of whom have been with the festival for many years and others are new to the team this year.
Volunteering is very strong in the Midlands region and helps to sustain the thriving community arts scene in the county.
