As part of National BIke Week 2023, St Hilda’s Services Athlone hosted a ‘Pedal Power’ 5km community event on Friday afternoon last.
St Hilda’s staff and service users were joined in large numbers by members of the general public, including Athlone community gardai, Athlone Town women’s football team, members of the Irish United Nations Veterans Association and many more representatives from local groups and organisations.
Participants convened at Athlone Regional Sports Centre before starting their 5km cycle on the Old Rail Trail greenway.
The event was supported by Westmeath Sports Partnership and is one of several events which took place in Athlone last week.
