Local Fine Gael Minister of State, Deputy Peter Burke, was in Athlone on Friday last visiting local business owners and hearing first hand the feedback on local and national issues which are affecting traders at present.
“It was great to be in Athlone on Friday last to discuss the concerns of local businesses. There was a wide range of issues which affect businesses discussed and I am happy to relay these concerns to Government. I am always interested to hear from business owners, face to face.
“I called to Centra on Castlemaine Street, Bastion Kitchen and the Kin Khao Thai restaurant.
“These have been unprecedented times in business and I fully accept that while Government supports and schemes are doing well in job creation and maintenance, there are always avenues for improvement and new opportunities to grasp in business.
“I am always struck by the ‘can do’ attitude as entrepreneurs strive for success,” Deputy Burke concluded.
