Robbie Henshaw made a welcome return to the international rugby playing fray as a late substitution for former Connacht teammate Bundee Aki during Ireland's Six Nation victory over Scotland on Sunday afternoon.
The Coosan native, who has been troubled by a wrist injury, was introduced to proceedings on 67 minutes and in customary style played his part with numerous defensive tackles to ensure Ireland gained a merited 15 point victory in Murrayfield.
Thoughts now turn towards a tilt at the Grand Slam this Saturday evening when England are the visitors to the Aviva Stadium and an opportunity to bridge a five year gap to when similar success was achieved.
With Gary Ringrose ruled out of this weekend's fixture, Ireland head coach Andy Farrell may opt to start Henshaw in his favoured centre role, the former Marist College student eager to accumulate further international game time in this a rugby World Cup year.
