Crossfit Croí to open new fitness and wellness centre in Blyry Commercial Park

As the new year's resolutions start to fade to the back of many minds, the crew at Crossfit Croí have been making significant changes this year, as they prepare to move into a new larger facility in Blyry Commercial Park, conveniently located off the M6 motorway and easily accessed on the main entry route to the park.

The team of coaches at Crossfit Croí do not believe in trying to change yourself, rather they believe that every person should strive to be the best version of themselves they can be. That comes down to taking care of yourself, as a whole, mind, body and soul. Of course, Crossfit Croí can help you with all of that, all you have to do is make the first call.

Whether you need some advice as to what class to choose for your needs, if it is a group class or a one-to-one session, some nutritional advice and coaching, some yoga classes, flexibility classes, a massage or facial, Crossfit Croi can take care of it all.

The timetable has increased this year too with some new classes added to cater for new clients. They are offering an active age class, twice weekly, where you can keep joints and muscles working at a pace that suits you and cool down afterwards with some tea and treats. Also back on the schedule is a ladies only fitness class, again paced to suit each individual's goals and abilities. Circuits/HIIT classes have also made a welcome return to the timetable.

The ever popular yoga classes have also returned with additional spaces now available and additional classes now added to the schedule. These classes include breathwork and stretches, finishing with relaxation. Such classes are suitable for all levels, the benefits of yoga being many and varied. It is also a good step in taking care of your mind and time away from the weekly stresses of life.

Within CrossFit Croí there are flexibility classes hosted by Anita Sheerin of MotionFit Global. Anita is a strength and flexibility specialist. Her group flexibility classes emphasise the importance of stretching and flexibility, and will guide you in how to use your full range of motion in order to maximise sports performance, and also to alleviate stiff aches/pains in everyday life. She also offers personal training, both in Crossfit Croí and online, suitable from beginners to advanced.

As the GAA season is kicking off, team strength and conditioning is also re-starting ad the team at Crossfit Croi are hoping for repeat successes again this year, following on from the wonderful successive county wins from the senior ladies at Clann na nGael.

Crossfit Croi was established in 2016 by Ursula and Patrice Kenny who wanted to create a facility that would embody the Crossfit ethos of community based training, supporting and encouraging individuals and teams to achieve their goals.

Crossfit is for every body, it is movements that we do, as humans, every day of our lives from sitting down to standing up (squats ) to picking something off the floor (deadlifts ) to putting something on a high shelf (press ). We take those movements and add some resistance and increase the intensity.

Everyone knows that exercise is good for the body as a whole, from helping with sleep, releasing 'happy hormones' for mental wellbeing, as well as the physical benefits of cardiovascular health and improved physique.

Come along to the Crossfit Croí open day on Saturday, February 25, from 11am to 3pm, take a look around and speak with the coaches who will be on hand to help guide you to a class which suits you.
