New manager appointed as Rosemount aim for immediate return to senior championship

Rosemount GAA can confirm the appointment of Des Collins as manager of the club's intermediate team as the 'black and amber' strive for a swift return to senior championship status next year.

Des will be joined in his managerial role by current selectors, Brian Lawlor and Alan 'Murph' Mullen. Des is a Galway native who relocated to Rosemount and played for the club in the early 2000s.

Following his playing retirement, he continued his involvement in the club, managing Rosemount to a junior title and achieving several successes with underage teams also.

Des also filled in as interim manager for the senior team in 2021 and ensured the team retained senior status for 2022.

Club AGM

The club's AGM was held on Sunday, December 4, with a great turnout on the occasion leading to some very proactive discussions on the future direction of the club. Thank you to all who attended.

Gratitude is expressed to all members who served on the committee in the past year and to all those who contributed to the running of the club. In particular, a special thanks to Vinny Cox who served as chairman and implemented many successful and positive changes in the last year.
