Team Hope extends Midlands region Christmas Shoebox Appeal drop off date!

If you’ve been meaning to build a shoebox for the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal, there’s great news as Team Hope has extended the drop off date for physical shoeboxes until Tuesday, November 15.

The Appeal aims to deliver as many gift-filled shoeboxes as possible to children in 13 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe, for whom poverty is their every-day reality and they need your help to put smiles on these children’s faces this Chistmas!

The support to date this year has been fantastic with parents, children, teachers, families and communities across Westmeath and the Midlands region helping Team Hope as they try to reach their target of 200,000 shoeboxes this year.

It has never been easier to get involved! All you have to do is find an empty shoebox, wrap it in Christmas paper and fill it with gifts for a boy or girl aged between 2 and 14, give online or attach a €4 donation and bring it to a local drop off point before the extended deadline of Tuesday, November 15. And, there’s more good news! If you don’t have time to make a shoebox yourself, you can build a box online at www.teamhope.ie until 23rd December. One of Team Hope’s local partners will build a box on your behalf on-the-ground and make sure it goes where it’s needed most.

“Thank you so much for your support so far! We’re delighted with the fantastic response from the people of Westmeath. These shoeboxes show the children who receive them that people in Ireland are thinking about them and are sending love and joy to them this Christmas. You’ll find your nearest drop off point as well as plenty of inspiration on what to fill your shoebox with at www.teamhope.ie and we’ll be thrilled to see you,” Westmeath Contact, Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal Manager Jonathan Douglas, said.
