From comedian Conal Gallen’s wedding of the year to swing kings Luke Kelly & The Swing Cats, Roscommon Arts Centre has something for all this October!

Are you ready for the wedding of the year? It’s taking place Friday, October 21, as Roscommon Arts Centre hosts comedian Conal Gallen’s hilarious brand new comedy play ‘KNOT AGAIN’, written by Conal and his son Rory.

Bridie and Willie Murphy are renewing their wedding vows! Fr Big Mad Micky O’Reilly, Betty Head and her son Dick all make a welcome return along with some new and old guests! Nothing goes as planned, as Bridie convinces her hapless husband Willie to renew their wedding vows in the hope that she will get a whole new kitchen! The comedy and confusion will keep you in stitches! Described as not a laugh a minute – a laugh every ten seconds, this is a show not to be missed!

Kings of Swing

They’re back! After a hugely successful show in 2020 we are thrilled to welcome back Ireland’s King of Swing ‘LUKE THOMAS AND HIS BAND THE SWING CATS’ for another great night of music as they perform a very special ‘PROHIBITION EDITION’ of their hit show ‘THE STORY OF SWING’.

Featuring all your favourite swing and big bang songs like ‘Sing Sing Sing’, ‘Puttin On The Ritz’, ‘Mack The Knife’ to crooning classics like ‘Mr Bojangles’, ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, ‘New York’ plus many more!

The Swing Cats have amassed a huge following throughout Ireland and Europe thanks to their distinctive sound and style which is steeped in the golden age of swing music.

Never before has a show captured the full evolution of swing music like this.
