Prominent Athlone interior designer, Susan McGowan, will be to the creative fore at the permanent tsb Ideal Homes Show later this month.
DFS will welcomes back Susan from Ashen & Cloud Interior Architecture and Design Studio, to create the overall look and feel of their Interiors Inspiration Centre at the RDS Dublin event.
For the Ideal Home Show, taking place from October 21–23, Susan has worked with DFS and three other design creatives who aim to show visitors ‘their thing’ at the DFS Interiors Inspiration Centre.
It takes the form of three room sets packed full of personality and a stunning design space where you can browse DFS products and samples.
Susan is delighted to be working with DFS again.
“This has been a really fun, exciting project to be part of. I look forward to working with this talented team of creatives, Aoife, Jo and Jen and welcoming everyone to the DFS Inspiration Centre at the permanent tsb Ideal Home Show to draw inspiration from all the different ideas, using colour in your home, having your home as your sanctuary, sustainable living and regency core,” Susan enthused.
The DFS Inspirational Stage really is the jewel in the crown where Lorraine Keane will join many of Ireland’s leading designers and creatives to share ideas. This space will draw from inspiration from jewel tones with the sumptuous new Reunion Sofa the key feature, with a definite nod to autumn’s hottest look - “dark academia”.
The stunning design hub in the DFS Interiors Inspiration Centre, where there will be support to find your own thing, will be designed around the popular Swoon sofa paired with the DFS Vegan nurture accent chair. Here you can check out swatch books, inspirational images and find out more about the different looks. Here you will also find stunning new artwork by up and coming Irish Artist Niall Byrne.
All walls at the DFS Interiors Inspiration Centre are painted in colours from the Dulux Collection with flooring supplied by Grain and Grove.
Other creatives involved include Jen Connell, whose thing is ‘Regencycore, inspired by her love of French and English traditional interiors, Aoife Tobin, founder and lead designer of the design house Style So Simple who gives tips on how to make your home your sanctuary and sustainability journalist and founder of GAFF Shop, Jo Linehan, who curated a space to highlight and celebrate ways we can all live eco-friendlier lives.
