Athlone native, Nicola O’Brien, has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO ) with Permanent TSB Group Holdings plc, the financial institution confirming the appointment this week following a competitive selection process.
A former student of Our Lady’s Bower, Ms O’Brien resides in Clonbonny with her husband Tom Delaney and their two children, Emma and Lucey.
The prestigious appointment is effective immediately with Ms O’Brien attaining vast banking experience to date.
Ms O’Brien is currently Head of Finance and Investor Relations at Permanent TSB and a member of the bank’s senior leadership team. She has extensive finance, business, strategic and change experience. Prior to her current role, Nicola held a number of senior roles in Bank of Ireland, including Head of Finance Group Customer Operations, Head of Group Finance Strategy and Divisional Financial Controller for the Retail Ireland Division.
Following her appointment, O’Brien will become a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee and will join the Permanent TSB Board as an Executive Director.
