The annually hosted Castledaly GAA GOAL Mile charity fundraising initiative proved a success with in person and online donations accounting for over €1,050 being raised by the local community.
“Our local communities have responded with incredible generosity as usual for this worthy cause - it was great to see so many family, friends and neighbours participating in this very healthy social event, with fresh air, exercise and good humour to the fore.
“Many within our local community had not seen each other in over a year with many participants home in Castledaly for first time in years.
“There is a beautiful community spirit of caring that shines through the darkest clouds,” Castledaly GAA GOAL Mile event organiser, Dermot Walshe, enthused.
