Spring 2022 programme announced at Roscommon Arts Centre

Roscommon Arts Centre are gearing up for a busy season in Spring 2022 with the announcement of their new programme of events which begins on January 15.

As usual there will something to suit every taste, with quality theatre, music, comedy, dance, visual art, schools shows and workshops taking place at the centre.

There will be music performances from Steve Wickham, Patrick Feeney, The Celtic Tenors, Eleanor Shanley, Emma Langford, The Dubliner’s Show and The Swing Cats.

Comedy highlights include Des Bishop with his show ‘Mia Mamma’, Farmer Michael and comedian Oliver Callan makes his arts centre debut this April with his show ‘Callan Kicks’.

Theatre lovers will be delighted to see the return of the annual Roscommon Drama Festival which kicks off on March 4 for nine nights. There will also be performances this Spring by Seamus O’Rourke with his new play ‘The Handyman’, Beezneez Theatre Company present ‘Twilight’ and the Nomad Theatre Network and Livin’ Dred Theatre Company preset Patrick Kavanagh’s ‘Tarry Flynn’ for two nights in March.

The Gallery Space will see exhibitions from artist Laura Earley and Roscommon artist Frances Crowe will curate ‘Interconnections’, a biennale exhibition of hand woven, contemporary, fine art tapestries from Ireland and Scotland.

Other season highlights include performances from Roscommon Drama Group, Evolution Stage School, ‘NASC’, a dance and aerial show by Infinite Pants, ‘Fall & Float’ a school show by Monica Munoz, two Music Network tours and two Sunday afternoon music events with students from Music Generation Roscommon.
