The festive spirit was very much to the fore in Dún na Sí Amenity and Heritage Park, Moate, on Saturday last as families revelled in the Festive-Lit Walkthrough Christmas Experience.
Many 'nice' boys and girls attended the event with their families, where they were guided through the atmospheric experience by one of the many elves. Along the trail, they encountered the naughty elves, saw the live crib, and visited Mrs Claus in her kitchen making reindeer food, all before getting to meet the main man himself, Santa!
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Dún na Sí’s annual Christmas Experience event was unable to be held in 2020, however, a scaled-down, altered version of the experience took place this year in accordance with all government guidelines.
Dún na Sí Amenity and Heritage Park would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event and to all the volunteers and workers who worked very hard to make the event possible, both behind the scenes and on the day!
