The most recent event in the Irish Mountain Running Association calendar took place in Clonmel, with Athlone native, Lorcan Fagan, achieving a highly commendable eighth place finish.
A distance of 10km over moderate terrain with a total ascent of 500 metres was the challenge presented to all participants in the South Tipperary surrounds, a second place finish in his event category being an additional achievement for the avid trail mountain runner.
