Athlone Chamber of Commerce formally launched the Athlone Gift Card in the surrounds of the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on Thursday afternoon last.
To be solely used in businesses in Athlone, the Chamber of Commerce have partnered with the Irish gift card company Me2You to launch the initiative.
An extremely exciting opportunity for the businesses of Athlone, the ‘Athlone Gift Card’ will really support and drive the shop local and support local ethos.
Speaking upon the launch, Athlone Chamber of Commerce CEO, Mr Gerry McInerney, stated that the Athlone Gift Card is the ideal way to recognise and reward employees while supporting local businesses.
“Accepted in over 50 outlets in-store within our town, the Athlone Gift Card offers a huge range of options for your staff and is also the ideal gift for special occasions,” Mr McInerney asserted.
The card can only be used in businesses in Athlone ensuring that the money spent is kept within the town as the initiative highlights and promotes the shops, hotels and restaurants of the local community.
The Athlone Gift Card can be purchased at Applegreen Arcadia, Centra (Castlemaine Street ), Circle K (Dublin Road ), Spar (Monksland Service Station ) and Walsh’s (Connaught Street ).
