At the recent monthly meeting of Athlone-Moate Municipal District, elected representatives received an update on the new N55 corridor from Athlone to Ballymahon. Currently, the design consultants are assessing two possible modifications to the Emerging Preferred Route Corridor. Following these assessments, the Option Selection Report will be finalised and the Preferred Route Corridor announced. It is anticipated that the Option Selection Process will be finalised later this year.
