Mullingar native, Edel Lambe has just been appointed as the new fundraising manager with Croí, the west of Ireland cardiology foundation, which is based at University Hospital, Galway.
Croí, which is a registered heart charity, was established in 1985 and since then has led the fight against heart disease in the west of Ireland.
Edel has over six years’ management experience of fundraising in the charitable sector, and she joins Croí from DEBRA Ireland (the national charity for the genetic skin condition EB ) where she was based in Dublin as head of donor care. While with DEBRA Ireland she successfully led the significant expansion of that charity.
Edel joins Croí as it embarks on the next phase of its development, which will involve exciting and innovative community projects across a range of cardiovascular healthcare areas. She is delighted to be joining Croí, and is looking forward to building relationships with donors, supporters, patients, and the many others committed to the fight against heart disease in the west of Ireland.
