Following a very strange year for children within the local communities, Dún na Sí Amenity and Heritage Park in Moate are making some special changes to their annual Christmas event.
While Santa usually visits Dún na Sí in person each year, he is now practising social distancing to make sure that he is ready to fly on the big night.
Because of this, he unfortunately won’t be able to see all the boys and girls in person at Dún na Sí this year. As a special alternative, Santa has instead decided to come into the Dún na Sí office for one day only in order to write some special letters to all the boys and girls instead!
Santa will write a personalised letter to children and provide them with a ‘Certificate of Niceness’ and a small gift. These letters will then be specially delivered by post to their door!
The lucky boys and girls who are signed up for the Dún na Sí Delivery will be able to see that Santa has seen how good they have been during this very difficult year, and can watch out for the special deliveries during the week of December 14!
Grown-ups who would like to sign up children to the delivery service can book them online on the Dún na Sí website at https://dunnasi.ie/dun-na-si-special-santa-delivery/ - there is limited availability so early booking is advised!
The special Santa delivery costs €10 for one child, €9 per additional child and has been kindly supported by the elves at Westmeath County Council.
