iDonate, the online fundraising specialists have just announced an online raffle creator.
The system allows organisers list prizes and set ticket prices, while allowing supporters securely purchase tickets online. Alan Coyne, co-founder of iDonate, said that since the start of Covid-19, they have seen unprecedented demand for online fundraising, particularly within the sporting environment.
The online raffle is another example of a feature that has been requested by many charitable causes. The setup allows for the secure purchase of tickets using credit/ debit cards, PayPal or Stripe. The terms and conditions are clearly outlined, such as the price of tickets and prizes. The system then produces a spreadsheet to allow for the raffle to take place.
“Traditional events such as walks and cycles are being replaced with virtual events. In many ways virtual events are easier to organise, as moving the event online eliminates lots of logistical issues associated with road safety,” Alan asserted.
Since their setup in 2011, iDonate have gone on to raise over €30 Million euro for the Not For Profit sector in Ireland. iDonate continue to add new features to the fundraising platform, with many driven by the new requirements associated with Covid-19.
iDonate is now the largest online fundraising platform in Ireland, supporting over two thousand Not For Profit Causes. Those include registered charities, sports clubs, schools, community groups and the Church are Parish and Diocesan level.
