A unique event is scheduled to take place in Kilbeggan Library on the morning of Wednesday May 13 to celebrate this year’s Bealtaine Festival. The intergenerational event will involve members of Kilbeggan’s ‘Young at Heart’ club and the sixth class pupils from Kilbeggan Primary School.
As with previous events organised by the ‘Young at Heart’ club, this promises to be an exciting programme showcasing the talents of Kilbeggan people, young and not so young. The Kilbeggan ‘Young at Heart’ group is a vibrant and fun-loving group which comes together to meet the social needs of its members and to foster community spirit.
The morning will include poetry recitals, guest speaker, musical interludes, and a dramatised version of ‘Phil the Fluter’s Ball’. The sixth class pupils will add their own contribution to what promises to be a great morning’s entertainment.
Kilbeggan Library offers a quality service to the local community under the friendly care of librarians Margaret Crentsil, Lil Gorman, and Ray Hussey. For more information on this event, which will take place on Wednesday May 13 from 10am to 12 noon, and indeed on any other library-related matters, contact any staff member in Kilbeggan Library at (057 ) 9333148.
