The Government has removed the exemption for club championship matches from Level 5 of their ‘Plan for living with Covid-19’.
Consequently, all Energia Community Series fixtures in all four provinces are suspended until further notice. In addition clubs are “reminded of the need to have an updated Covid-19 Health and Safety Plan in place which ensures all activities comply with government guidelines”.
At time of writing that means clubs “are now restricted to non-contact training only in pods of up to 15”.
All coaches/managers at Buccaneers must adhere to that, from Minis teams right up to Seniors. Of course, as this is being written in advance of the Government’s decision whether or not to upgrade to Level 4 or indeed Level 5, a further tightening of restrictions could be in place later this week.
Major ‘Player of the Year’ accolade for Buccaneers clubman

The Tullamore man is congratulated on this latest honour and Buccs supporters wish they could still witness Jordan in the club’s colours in which his try-scoring exploits elevated him on to the national scene.
