Ahead of her visit to Mullingar and her appearance at the Mullingar Chamber Awards Patricia Callan, director of the Small Firms Association has said "I am very much looking forward to attending the Mullingar Chamber of Commerce Awards. In these dark times, small businesses really are the shining light. In Ireland, there are 250,000 entrepreneurs, who provide employment to half the private sector workforce, some 800,000 people.

It is true that we are all desperately in need of a good news story. The Mullingar Chamber Annual Business Dinner and Awards are taking place on Thursday April 30 in the Annebrook House Hotel at 7pm. All members are welcome to attend on the night. Tickets are €65, which includes a four course meal and a disco to follow.
