Local TD, Denis Naughten, has confirmed the allocation of €108,000 from Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran towards the cost of addressing an ongoing flooding problem on the Drum Road, at Crancam.
The total cost of works, which will be completed by Roscommon County Council is €137,000. These works will address the risk of flooding to homes as well as a serious traffic hazard during heavy rainfall.
“I want to thank Minister Moran, the Area Office of Roscommon County Council and Cllr. John Naughten for their help in addressing this ongoing problem and I hope that works will commence at this location as soon as possible,” Deputy Naughten stated.
