Two Mullingar men were remanded in custody after appearing in Dublin District Court on Monday on charges relating to a seizure of cannabis resin worth more than €600,000.
Michael Skey (32 ) and Kevin Bardon (20 ) were arrested last Saturday after a planned Garda operation on the Nephin Road in Cabra. Judge John Coughlan granted the men bail on their own bond of €100. In addition, an independent surety of €20,000 was required from both men who will also have to surrender their passports.
Both men must sign on daily at Mullingar Garda Station. The men who did not speak during the court hearing, were remanded to Cloverhill District Court this morning (Friday ).
