With less than three weeks to go until the Broadway and West End smash hit musical Chicago graces the Athlone stage, rehearsals are gearing up as the cast and crew work on bringing this sensational show to the Dean Crowe Theatre.
Chicagotells the story of Roxie Hart, an embittered housewife who kills her faithless lover.
She finds herself in Cook County jail where she meets rival Velma Kelly and makes a bid for the spotlight and freedom by hiring slick lawyer Billy Flynn.
The musical has been a fan favourite for years and was also 'Best Picture' winner at the Oscars.
With sensational jazz music and the famous numbers 'All That Jazz', 'Cell Block Tango' and 'Hot Honey Rag', the cast and crew of Athlone Musical Society invites you to the Dean Crowe Theatre from March 2-9 to witness this singing and dance spectacle.
