Little White Lies next up at the Linenhall Film Club

Fri, May 04, 2012

The next screening at Linenhall Film Club is the French entertaining and acutely observed drama of manners Little White Lies, for which director Guillaume Canet assembles an outstanding cast of some of France’s finest actors - led by Academy Award-winning Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose) and including Jean Dujardin (star of The Artist). A gathering of close friends is hosted every year by a couple at their beautiful beach house as they all leave their city stresses behind. But this year is different. One of the friends has been badly injured in a motorcycle accident just before they leave Paris. After being assured that there is nothing they can do, they decide to embark on their annual trip, but tensions are simmering just under the surface, waiting to erupt... Think The Big Chill à la plage and you’ll get something of the flavour of this engrossing and entertaining ensemble piece.
