WhistleBlast Quartet head to Behy

The WhistleBlast Quartet – Brendan Doyle (saxophones and clarinet ), Mary Curran (French horn ), Matthew Manning (oboe and cor anglais ) and Andrew Synnott (piano ) – is returning to Mayo on May 8, 9 and 10 to provide three days of concerts and workshops for the children of Behy National School, Ballina.

At the finale of the project there will be a free family concert for the entire community in Ballina Arts Centre at 6pm on Thursday, May 10. The quartet will perform music for all ages such as ‘Saint Saen’s Danse Macabre’, ‘The Can Can’, Bizet’s ‘L’Arlesienne Suite’ and much more. Go along to hear this energetic group of professional musicians free of charge. The concert will end with a short composition performed by fifth class children from Behy National School.
