Garbos live music and party venue at Mayo Leisure Point, Castlebar has an exciting line-up of upcoming live music gigs and entertainment acts.
Do you like AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Airborne, Rose Tattoo, or Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, and Foo Fighters? Then Garbo's Live is the place to be tonight, February 9, when Australian/Irish hard rock outfit Jailbird take to the stage.
The following Friday night events will take a turn in a very different direction when The Dirty Circus bring their burlesque and cabaret night to Garbos. The Dirty Circus have preformed at Electric Picnic, Body and Soul, and the Vodafone Comedy Festival and are regulars in the Roisin Dubh in Galway. This promises to be a night not to be missed, with MC Ms Eve Shadows guiding you through the night of naughtiness, decadence, and glamour.
On the night Ms Memphis Shell will be taking Castlebar by storm with local talent from the badass drag Ms Neon Love, Ms Caitriona McDonnell will be sexy and powerful on the pole, and Ms Julianne Hennelly will be our special guest on the night. The Temptress brings her spells and Ms Kitty Satine will be there to greet you; with pole, burlesque, drag, music, comedy, and freaks where else would you be?
The lights will be low and spirits will be high as the cream of the burlesque world is presented for your delectation and pleasure.
And when the stage goes dark the beat goes on. Cantina Bop will keep the mood going with an eclectic mix of sexy and underground tunes, guaranteed to get you where you’re going.
Tickets are on sale in Downtown Records and in Garbos priced €15. There will also be extra special gifts on the night for the finest dressed lady or gent so don’t forget to get those glad rags on. Doors open at 9pm, with the festivities kicking off at 9.30pm.
