The community of Lahardane is getting ready to shine a little bit more light on their picturesque village at the foot of Nephin this Christmas.
The local tidy towns committee has just launched a Nephin 2020 calendar that contains 13 stunning images of Nephin and the surrounding areas with the funds raised from the sale of the calender going towards raising funds for the Christmas Lights on the trees in the village. The photographs were kindly donated to the committee by Mike Kinsella and Martin Harris.
The calendar is available in all outlets in Lahardane and surrounding areas and online at www.shinealightlahardane.com costing just €10 and you can also purchase a bulb for the trees and dedicate it to a loved one for €5 or you can purchase a family tree for €200. A lighting ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 8 and all dedications will be remembered at all masses in Lahardane Church during the Christmas season.
