Unleash the potential of your school and community at the Credit Union Schools Quiz

Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union is inviting primary schools in the Athlone and Castlerea area to join their Credit Union Schools Quiz 2024.

To participate, contact the credit union to register for the local knockout stage happening at TUS, Athlone Campus on January 28.

The winning teams will advance to the regional stage in early march. In this nerve-wracking clash of wits, they will go head-to-head with other formidable teams creating an exhilarating competition. The goal is to reach the Grand Final at the RDS, Dublin in April 2024.

Registration for the 2024 Schools Quiz is now open and local schools and children interested in participating can contact Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union for entry forms and for further information. Closing date for entries is Friday, January 19.

About the All-Ireland Schools Quiz

The quiz is divided into two sections:

Competition A: Under 11 - for entrants ages 10 or younger on December 31 2023

Competition B: Under 13 - for entrants aged 12 of younger on December 31 2023

The winning teams at the national finals will receive €1,250 per school, with the runner up teams in each category receiving €750 for their schools, adding up to a fantastic prize fund of €4,000.

Local and regional winners will also receive a range of prizes.

· Local winning teams will receive a certificate and trophy from Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union.

· Regional winners will receive prizes and their schools will receive a cheque or a cash prize.

· The national winners and runners-up will receive a trophy, significant personal prizes for each team, and their schools are each awarded a substantial cheque.
