Congratulations to the Our Lady's Bower Cadette volleyball team, who are through to the All-Ireland volleyball semi-finals following their victory in a quarter final play-off tie.

On Monday, December 11, the team, co-captained by Hannah Murray (transition year ) and Tanya Stephane (third year ) travelled to Shannon, County Clare, where they played St Mary’s Holy Faith, Dublin and Coachford College Cork. After two thrilling games, the team managed to top the group and secure their place in the semi-final.

Captain Tanya Stephane was the MVP (Most Valuable Player ) on the day, creating some wonderful ‘sets’ for Elena Martin, Niamh Purtill and Poorvika Vimal Raj to spike. Some very powerful serves from Paula Perez ensured that Our Lady's Bower remained in control throughout each set.

Well done to the team, who are looking forward to their All-Ireland semi-final in the new year.
