Mayo students were recognised and commended at today’s BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2021 Awards Ceremony. A total of two awards were presented to Mayo students for their impressive projects entered in this year’s virtual exhibition.

A fifth year student from Coláiste an Eachréidh who picked up three awards and a Coláiste Mhuirlinne student from the city who marked his second prize-winning appearance were among the Galway winners at this year’s BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, which took place in Dublin last weekend.

Students from Jesus and Mary Secondary School in Gortnor Abbey picked up the third place award in the technology category of the BT Young Scientist and Technology Festival last weekend. Sarah Murphy and Mary Murphy picked up the bronze award for their 'Make a Mark - Sheep Marking Gun' project.
