Mayo students were recognised and commended at today’s BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2021 Awards Ceremony. A total of two awards were presented to Mayo students for their impressive projects entered in this year’s virtual exhibition.
Caoimhe Monahan, Katie Jennings and Sophia Hession from Mount Saint Michael Secondary School in Claremorris were highly commended in the junior section of the competition’s technology category for a project called Trackmed.
Katie Fraser, Tamara Schulte and Siobhan McGrath from Ballinrobe Community School were also highly commended in the intermediate section of the technology category for their entry entitled Defibrillator Finder: Ballinrobe.
