Failte Ireland set to invest in Hidden Heartlands businesses digital offering

Fáilte Ireland will invest €1 million to improve the websites and digital skillsets of visitor attractions and activity providers in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands region, it has been announced made by Minister of State for the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief, Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran, with applications now being accepted by the national tourism authority until Wednesday, July 24.

World award shortlist for Connemara cultural retreat

Cnoc Suain cultural retreat, which is located near An Spidéal in Connemara, has been shortlisted for a prestigious world award in Cultural Heritage. The World Responsible Tourism Award (WRTA) is presented to a ‘tourism attraction or experience that is designed to protect and promote the heritage of a community.’ Cnoc Suain founders and owners Dearbhaill Standún and Charlie Troy, offer cultural day experiences, events, and residential programmes for organised groups.
