Fáilte Ireland, the national tourism authority, has published its listing of Ireland’s top visitor attractions for 2012. National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, Turlough Park is among the list of top free attractions, recording 99,682 visitors.

DURING THE last winter Ireland experienced some of the harshest weather in living memory. Last November excessive flooding devastated the west and southwest of the country. Galway, Clare and Cork were among the worst affected areas.
