The Health Insurance Authority’s (HIA) annual report has revealed that the health insurance market remained in a strong position in 2022 and the number of people with health insurance in Ireland continued to rise including increasing numbers purchasing cover for the first time.

Surgery is a common treatment option for women with breast cancer. The surgery is to remove the cancerous tissue and the area close to it. There are many different ways of operating on breast cancer and the type of surgery will depend on the stage of the patient’s cancer.
