The Galway Lions Club is issuing a heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to everybody who has donated to the service over the past number of weeks.

“It is often said that Christmas has a way of bringing out the best in people and over the past few weeks the people of Galway have really been incredibly supportive in their response to each of our appeals”, said Galway Lions President Pat Dennigan.

This Christmas some 400 Kilkenny homes will see some light at the end of a very dark tunnel thanks to the generosity of donations to the Mayor’s Fund.
