Last Friday night was the occasion for COPE Galway’s annual Sleep Out where 30 of the city’s business and community leaders spent 12 hours sleeping on the streets in a venture that has raised €110,000 to date for homelessness services.

Galway Lions Club and Tesco Ireland are asking shoppers to make a big difference to someone’s Christmas by donating a food item during a two-day Christmas Food Appeal, which will take place on Friday November 27 and Saturday November 28 in Tesco stores in Ballinasloe, Newcastle, Headford Road, and Oranmore.
