Mullingar Student Players present Godspell
With just over a week to go the final preparations for this year’s student production are being firmly put in place. Godspell tells the story of the last three days of Christ as written in the gospel according to St Matthew and contains a plethora of the most famous songs in musical history including prepare “Ye the Way Of The Lord”, “Day By Day”, “All for the Best”, and “On The Willows” which were all chart successes in the 1970. The show as a whole has that kind of hip and trendy feel of the decade but under director Sean Lynch, the Mullingar Student Players production has been transported to the 21st century and is more relevant to today’s themes and topics.
