The Asthma Society of Ireland has launched its Back2Work Checklist as part of its Life Alongside Covid-19 campaign.

World Asthma Day 2010 takes place on Tuesday May 4 and to raise awareness of the management of asthma, an information stand will be set up in the main foyer of Mayo General Hospital from 11am to 3pm.

The significant increase in the prevalence of asthma is fast becoming a worldwide health issue. The World Health Organisation figures for 2007 estimate that there are currently 300 million asthma sufferers worldwide and mortality rates are also on the rise.
