WOLFE TONES’ founding member Derek Warfield and his band The Young Wolfe Tones will play Monroe’s Live tonight at 11pm.

Reaching a 45-year milestone in any profession is extremely rare; however, when that profession involves remaining at the top of the Irish music scene for almost five decades, then the achievement is even more remarkable!

One of the most popular music events in the west is back this year to entertain and delight its audience. The Westport Music Festival ‘09 will run from Thursday August 6 to Sunday August 9 with The Wolfe Tones, Jimmy Buckley, The Great Pretenders (Queen Tribute) and Goodbye Venice (Joe Dolan Tribute) entertaining the crowds in free open-air concerts.

Legendary balladeers, The Wolfe Tones, will bring their brand new stage show to Mullingar Arts Centre on Saturday August 22. Featuring all of their hits, as well as brand new material from their most recent compositions, this special theatre show will bring their fans on a musical journey through the last 45 legendary years with The Wolfe Tones. The Mullingar performance, featuring a special visual backdrop to illustrate each song, promises to be a special celebration of folk and ballad music.
