THE SHADOW Of Carmilla, a new play inspired by one of the greatest vampire stories of all time, 'Carmilla', by Irish Gothic-horror writer Sheridan Le Fanu, will be premiered at the 2017 Galway Theatre Festival.

It may not be everyone’s cup of tea and, granted, there are quite a few disappointing moments, but I am willing to stick my neck out for this post-apocolyptic vampire slayer movie and say it is not a complete failure.

A dystopian world where vampires have taken over and the remaining humans are hunted down and farmed like animals seems like the perfect recipe for a fangtastic blockbuster, but sadly the Spierig brothers’ direction got lost in the gore, leaving just a bloody, and at times laughable, mess in its wake.
