Local derby tops billing in junior league
The first league meeting of local rivals Castlebar and Westport this season will make top billing for Mayo fans in this weekend's action in the Connacht Junior League, which resumes after a two week break. Castlebar were in action last weekend in the All Ireland Junior Cup, where they exited at the hands of Ulster side Ballyclare, going down 36-3.

This year, the organisation celebrated 30 years in business and at the event Cathaoirleach Ghaillimh le Gaeilge, Bernadette Mullarkey, welcomed the Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr. Pearce Flannery and thanked him, fellow Councillors and Chief Executive, Brendan McGrath for the funding of €50,000 to Gaillimh le Gaeilge for 2018.
