Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh have today (Monday) announced that pop icons James will play the Heineken® Big Top on Thursday 23 July 2026.

On Sunday, July 27, the curtain fell on the 2025 Galway International Arts Festival, marking the end of a two-week dazzling celebration of art, big ideas, creativity and culture. Celebrating on a larger scale than ever across the city and county, Galway International Arts Festival presented its most ambitious programme to date, and audiences flocked to see it.

Each year Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh join forces to bring to Galway some of the most exciting music acts to play at the iconic Heineken Big Top.

On Sunday night, the curtain fell on Galway International Arts Festival 2023 (GIAF), bringing to a close 14 days and nights of extraordinary arts experiences. The programme, which ranged from Druids to Dragons and Artists to Acrobats, drew record attendances of over 400,000 for the first time.

Two brilliant acts, KETTAMA and Pavement, have been announced for the Heineken Big Top in July as part of the Galway Arts Festival.
