A new MRBI survey for Focus Ireland has shown that a massive 76 per cent of big-hearted Mayo people have taken part in an event to raise vital funds for charity at some point in their lives.

Rehab is calling on Westmeath adventurers and all those with an interest in the outdoors to sign up for the ultimate challenge of 2012, while at the same time raising money for HeadsUp, Rehab’s youth suicide prevention project. The Five Peaks Challenge takes place over three days, from August 3 -5, with participants climbing the five highest mountains in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales.

The 11th annual Focus Ireland Four Peaks challenge will take place from June 11 to 13 and teams from Mayo are being asked to enter.
