Ballina’s Rathkip/Shanaghy Residents' Association will mark a quarter of a century in existence with the launch of a specially-commissioned book The People of Rathkip/Shanaghy, Ballina – 1855 and Beyond, chronicling hundreds of years of local history on September 28.

St Mary’s Secondary School, Ballina, is currently performing its “¡Mama Mia, Papa Mia!”musical which has a three-night run at the school, ending tonight, Friday, February 15. With a custom made set and in-house led production, under the guidance of director and script-writer, Mr Peter McLoughlin, Musical Director, Ms Regina Deacy and Choreographer, Ms Annette Leonard, the team also incorporates the talents of the Art Department led by Ms Renee Cronin and the team of Home Economics teachers, spearheaded by Ms Marie Clarke and Ms Regina Hallahan, coordinating costumes.
