This year the AIT Students Union placed major focus on four very worthy charities as part of the annual RAG (Raise and Give) Week. The charities that were chosen to benefit were the AIT Hardship Fund, the Midlands Simon Community, South Westmeath Hospice, and Special Olympics Ireland.

Following on from their fundraising successes of previous years, the Peter Mark team are once again grabbing their ghds, plugging in their hairdryers, and manning their styling stations in a bid to raise much needed funds to help the Irish Hospice Foundation. The Petermarkathon fundraiser takes place this year over the October Bank Holiday weekend, October 25 to 28, at all Peter Mark salons nationwide.

The Ruddy family from Muingmore are organising a fundraising weekend of music and dance in London on Friday November 9 and Saturday November 10.

The Run Kilkenny For Susie Long marathon event which took place over the June bank holiday this year raised a total of €13,441 for the Susie Long Hospice Fund.
